Approximately 240 students and faculty voted for their favorite student games of 2016 created at DigiPen’s Singapore campus.

Joe McGinn, Department Chair and Senior Lecturer of the Game Software Design and Production department of DigiPen (Singapore), announced the winners at a special awards ceremony.


Vek’s Epic Krew, created by team Show-cat Studios at DigiPen’s Singapore campus, won the 2016 Claude Comair Grand Prize for Game of the Year.

The winner of the 2016 Claude Comair Grand Prize for Game of the Year was Vek’s Epic Krew, a third-person ship-sailing game which allows players to sail on an open ocean to take revenge on pigeon-controlled ships that destroyed Vek’s Island. The game was created by team Show-cat Studios.

The first runner-up was Xenorift, an action shooter game, created by team GBaBoom. The second runner-up was Malignant, a two-player stealth-and-capture game, created by team No Time Studios.
