The Princeton Review Ranks DigiPen Among Top Schools for Game Design

For the sixth consecutive year, The Princeton Review has named DigiPen Institute of Technology one of the best colleges in North America for the study of game design.

The college admission services company ranked DigiPen No. 3 on its annual list of “Top 25 Undergraduate Schools to Study Game Design,” as well as No. 5 on its list of “Top 25 Graduate Schools to Study Game Design” for 2015. Since the Princeton Review began its ranking of Game Design schools in 2010, DigiPen has consistently been ranked as one of the top four undergraduate schools.

“For students aspiring to work in the burgeoning field of game design, these are truly the ‘cream of the crop’ institutions from which to launch a career,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s Senior VP – Publisher, in a statement announcing the new rankings. “Collectively, they have graduated many of the field’s top developers, artists, designers, and industry professionals.”

The Princeton Review based its selections on a 2014-15 survey of 150 institutions offering game design coursework, degree programs, or both. The survey asked each school to report on a wide range of topics, including academic offerings and faculty credentials, as well as graduates’ starting salaries and employment experience.

You can learn more about the rankings on The Princeton Review website or in the upcoming May issue of PC Gamer magazine, which hits newsstands March 31.
