Solace Among Finalists of 2010 IndieCade Festival

Solace, the first game from DigiPen student team One Man Down, has been named one of 32 finalists at this year’s IndieCade Festival.

The event, which takes place in Culver City, CA, on October 8-10, aims to help ”create a public perception of games as rich, diverse, artistic, and culturally significant” by showcasing “a phenomenal lineup of 32 diverse and innovative games selected by 160 international jurors from over 350 submissions.”

All IndieCade finalists are eligible for each of the festival’s 12 award categories, including Aesthetics, Gameplay Innovation, Technological Innovation, and Sound. Solace, previously honored as one of the PAX 10 at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo, is “an interactive aesthetic experience utilizing dynamic audio and bullet-hell overtones to provide a unique perspective on the five stages of grief.”
