DigiPen Institute of Technology is excited to announce the expansion of its ProjectFUN educational programs for students in grades K-12!

Beginning this spring, ProjectFUN will begin offering a new series of Weekend Workshops, giving students in grades 4 and higher a new opportunity to explore topics in engineering, game design, computer programming, and fine arts and multimedia. These 10-week, 35-hour programs will be hosted each Saturday at DigiPen’s Redmond campus. The new Weekend Workshops follow a similar curriculum to other ProjectFUN workshop programs and will satisfy certain prerequisite requirements for more advanced courses offered during ProjectFUN’s Summer Workshop sessions.

Also making its debut this spring is a new ProjectFUN Afterschool program for students in elementary and middle school. Over the course of 12 Wednesday sessions, students will learn about the key elements that go into making an original video game — including game design, programming, art production, and sound design — as they work together on a number of fun and exciting projects. ProjectFUN Afterschool begins on January 14 and goes from 3-6 p.m.

There are other ways to take advantage of ProjectFUN educational programs this spring as well, including new ProjectFUN Homeschool courses for students in grades 4 and up.

Or, for students who have already completed a prior ProjectFUN workshop, the Workshop+ spring sessions — held on campus every Saturday for 10 weeks — gives you a chance to work on new projects (like games and animations) at the same teaching level as your previous workshop.
